Regret Your Actions

Just because we recognize that we have sinned does not mean that we feel truly sorry. In order to repent we must actually feel remorse. If we know we did wrong, but we don't regret it or feel that is not a serious matter, then we won't work towards a change.

The world tells us we should feel sorry for what we've done. It tells us that what's past is past, what's done is done, that we shouldn't worry about it and can't change it and that we should move on. But if we don't learn to regret our wrongdoings, we will repeat them. The world teaches differently than God does. It is true we can't change the past, but we can change ourselves, and we can start down a path that can repair the damage. But that will not happen unless we accept that.
