Before continuing into many more concepts, I feel it is of the utmost importance that we understand the meaning of repentance. Many people have a false idea of repentance that leads them to believe that they have repented or that others have repented when they have not.
As a consequence they do not get the results of real repentance. They continue to feel guilty, they tend to slide back into the same mistakes, people mistrust them, etc.
Every one of us has made mistakes, so it is important that we understand repentance correctly so that we can do it, and so that we don't get caught in these "feel good" traps that sell us short of the real thing.
